A new asparagus meal. Asparagus rolled in flour, eggs, Panko crumbs and baked. Dipped in homemade aioli sauce!!!! WOW delicious!
Compost Pile
We have a dog! It seems like no matter how careful we are about keeping meat products out of the compost the dog still eats and gets sick from the compost. So my husband created a circle within a circle with leaves or straw between the two circles so we can throw anything and not have it dug up by the dog! Great invention!
Strawberries
We live two doors from a strawberry farm but we just can’t resist having our own strawberries right outside the door.
Asparagus
Always the first vegetable of the year. We eat asparagus as many ways as we can imagine, steamed, grilled, wrapped in bacon, and chopped in an omelet. Always delicious!
Butterfly’s
Wild Berries
Funny story, I have planted three different types of berries, spent money buying them, spent lots of time maintaining them. Built trellises, etc. So my husband calls me over to the north side of our pine trees that we have allowed to be wild, and there are many, many delicious black Berries! Growing wild and completely in their own!
Elder Berries
These are nets over PVC pipes to keep birds from eating all the berries. My husband is really talented! He put stakes in the ground and put the PVC over the stakes.
Repurposed Mattress Springs
These are old Mattress springs being repurposed as cucumber trellises. In the background are compost piles and asparagus.
Scarlet Runner Beans
Aren’t these beans pretty? The Sugar Snap Peas are in the background.
